I was tempted into entering this race in Goring-on Thames, by a work collegue Simon Bamber. It is an offroad duathlon including 2 x 5km runs up the ridgeway with a 20km offroad bike ride sandwiched in between. A fantastic race, both challenging to all competitiors but in a fairly relaxed atmosphere. I managed a 58th place out of 104 individual entries in 2 hours 3 minutes, with the old man Bamber securing 49th. Laz joined as well and finished 84th.
Tony's uncle, Richard Clothier kindly hosted clay shooting at his place in Fyfield, near Oxford. Sars and I had never shot before and were ably assisted by Richard, Tony, Ben (Tony's cousin) and Matt Mottram.
